Lesson learned about letting my own preconceptions cloud my judgment. In retrospect, I wish I hadn't, but c'est la vie. The first game really caught my interest, but what I perceived as its heavy RPG overtones and squad-oriented action didn't quite sound like my cup of tea, and I ended up skipping it.

I would do a full system clean restore if other stuff was giving issues. This is solely on EA and origin and a clean system restore is not happening as that is a massive head ache and i do not have the best internet available. When buying properly leads to such massive headaches while a pirate has a much smoother experience. I am sorry but at this point in time its far easier for me to use pirate exe to play the game i paid for. If origin and EA servers that are broken and we have tried every single troubleshooting step.

I refuse to do that as everything else, every single client, every single piece of software is running flawlessly. If you protect and maintain your PC well, it should run healthily for years and not need a windows-reset. After that I banned my wife and kid from it, I built a second PC so they can mess up that one all they want. I only had to wipe the drive once, and that was only 1-2 weeks after I let my wife start using it. Malware and viruses are renown for screwing up windows.

Just to mention the windows-reset that fixed the person's post that hijacked this thread (please, if you have different issues, create your own post), buy and install Kaspersky. I would recommend this first if you don't have issues with playing other games on other clients (like Steam and Blizzard). Uninstalling Origin and re-installing it is the solution to what caused my issue. If you are getting errors, then the issue lies with an old Origin client. So if you are like me and haven't touched origin since you finished Dragon Age Inquisition, check to see if you have the option to buy the DLC.

Apparently the old-version of Origin didn't know how to update itself. and there was no option to "check for updates". It would appear that an outdated origin client was the issue. What is the issue with this game's connectivity? Did I just happen to install this game at a time that the servers are down? Are there any downsides to playing "not connected" in the single-player campaign? I would've thought so long after the initial launch the game's bugs would've been worked out by now. I see tons of other forum-posts with this complaint. Steam, Blizzard, Ubisoft, and other Origin games have no issues (yes I have the other platforms shut down while I am attempting this). This is on a custom-built PC I built myself and have been running for 3 years with no issues to date. None of the usual troubleshooting methods have worked. I bypassed my router and connected straight to my modem. This is not my first rodeo, yes I've opened the ports, I've tried running as admin, I've enabled "trusted" status on all programs (Origin and Mass Effect) on my antivirus, then turned off my firewall, turned off my antivirus, restarted several times, I am running about 119Mbps download and 12Mbps upload on a wired connection. I am unable to "get online" in Mass Effect Andromeda. Apex Legends Mobile Limited Regional Launch.
